I cannot agree more with you - be sparse, and only because they add to your presentation, not because you can!

		<description>Hi Gavin - I couldn&#039;t agree more. I usually advise people to steer clear of anything fancy on PowerPoint - especially when starting out.  Less is most definitely more. I once had the misfortune of sitting through a 60 minute presentation where every bullet point on every slide animated on to the sound of a gunshot!  The first couple of times it was quite cute but after that...arghh!</description>
